2017 - 2018 - Self-Portraits after a Stroke
Dabney had to re-learn everything including how to hold a pen after a massive stroke at the age of 37. In the first two years, she had to focus on her recovery and wasn’t able to paint. A few self-portraits are the only sacred pieces from this time.
